I’m Jordan Harrington, a Denver-based Photographer and Social Media Specialist who has worked with communities and businesses around the world with the goal of sharing other’s stories in engaging ways.

My grandfather’s old Canon AE-1 is the reason I fell in love with photography.

At 18 years-old, I had a passion for English and for the nations. I was seeking a career in teaching ESL when I had been asked to second shoot weddings. I knew nothing about the craft and could barely focus a camera 30 minutes before my first wedding; but when I was gifted the film camera that my grandfather had used when he was my age, my perspective had shifted forever. I spent most of my late teens in a darkroom until I moved overseas.

I left the States for 4 years and that was when I learned that I could combine my passion for photography, writing, and humanitarian work to document the stories of others and bring awareness to global needs. I began sharing the stories of friends that I had met in 30+ countries with all different backgrounds and cultures.

Whether I was teaching English in a monastery with monks, helping start a coffee shop owned by young parents in Paris, or teaching photography at a school of Afghan refugees in Indonesia- I found creative ways to share their stories and the beauty of the cultures that lie in the world we live in.

Now living in Denver, Colorado, I seek a familiar concept as I create with other artisans and local businesses to showcase the gifts that they have been given to pour into the communities around them- helping share the stories of these individuals that are honoring and uplifting.
